We are currently working towards our Bronze Eco-Church Award which includes items relating to the theme of caring for God’s earth. The following Eco-Tips are taken from our weekly newssheet. For more information, go to the Rocha website.
Eco Tip 1:
Two websites you might like to take a look at www.peacewiththewild.co.uk and www.simplybeeeco.co.uk They sell everything from cleaning products to skin care and from food and drink to homewares. Check them out!!
Eco Tip 2:
Celebrate Spring. Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the season – breathe in the fragrance of blossoms, observe budding catkins, note different bird songs, spot footprints, or use the Pl@ntNet app to identify spring flowers. Nature can boost our happiness, so spend time in your garden, on your balcony, and in local green spaces. Dedicate quality time to appreciate creation’s beauty, and thank God for the hope that spring can bring.
Eco Tip 3:
Have you ever visited Nom Wholefoods in the High Street? It’s full of store cupboard essentials as well as eco cleaning products. All plastic free!!
Eco Tip 4:
FLOSS!! Have you ever thought about the plastic used in floss? Regular dental floss is just waxed nylon, rolled up in a small plastic box. Nylon takes 50 – 80 years to decompose! Bamboo dental floss is an alternative and available online from various companies e.g. Planetnatura. And all of the packaging is recyclable. It's great value and lasts a very long time. Go on check it out. It’s just a small change but another very important one.
